Create your first workspace

Think of a workspace as a folder. In it you can create documents. Documents are where you create content.

Then click on the new workspace to open it.

Create your first document

The document is where all the magic happens. It's the familiar editing experience you're used to, but with AI tools available to assist you.

Just like creating the first workspace, you should see this after you open the workspace.

When creating a document you'll automatically open it too.

The Editor

You've got your first document open - excellent! Let's do a quick orientation to learn the layout and some lingo.

Ready to Write?

  • Type / anywhere to use quick commands (inline prompts)

  • Use the Write and Finish buttons from the side tools

  • Try the Rework panel to experiment with changes

The AI Dance keyboard shortcuts:

  • CMD+Enter is "write"

  • CMD+Shift+Enter is "finish"

  • When using an inline prompt, CMD+Enter runs it

  • Select text and use CMD+Shift+P to open Rework

Swap CMD with CTRL if you're using Windows.

Understanding Roles 🎭

Think of roles as your AI writing partners, or your "voice" (some refer to them as their "brand voice"). Each role is a specialized AI assistant with specific skills and writing styles that you determine.

Pro Tip: Create different Roles for different types of writing - maybe one for creative work, another for technical content, or copywriting, etc.

And don't forget, not everything has to be about writing. You can create roles for analyzing, research, editing, etc.

Understanding Actions ⚡

Actions are your automation superpower - they're like macros that can transform, analyze, or generate content with a single click.

Pro Tip: Actions can be as simple or complex as you need - from basic text formatting to multi-step content transformation. Start simple and expand as you grown more comfortable. Use action presets to learn faster.

Using Bespoke Information

Chances are you want to write about things the AI models have never been trained on. Or you want to use unique information to stand out from the crowd. That's where Chibi's memory feature comes in.

Pro Tip: Toggle certain memory fields on/off depending on what you're working on. And don't be shy. The more details you provide the better Chibi can help you. Worried about token costs? Use a model like Google's Gemini Flash with great performance at super low costs (then use larger models when you're ready).

Growing Into Chibi

This is what things will look like as you use Chibi more. After you've created workspaces, more documents... roles, actions, etc.
