Understanding Chibi's Core Concepts
Chibi AI is designed to work alongside you in content creation, not replace your creative process. It's "done with you" rather than "done for you," giving you unprecedented control over AI-assisted content creation.
The Document Interface
The heart of Chibi is its familiar document interface. Unlike chatbots or form-based AI tools, you work in a comfortable document editor with AI tools readily available when needed:
Write Button: Located on the left side of your document, this follows your cursor and lets you generate content using AI based on your current role settings.
Finish Button: Also cursor-following, this helps complete your current sentence using AI.
Compose Prompt: Also cursor-following, this let's you 'cook' amazing prompt recipes to create incredible results.
Inline Prompts: Type '/' anywhere to access quick prompts that instruct AI what to write.
Roles: Your AI Personas
Roles are one of Chibi's most powerful features. Think of them as AI personas you create for specific types of content:
Each role combines an AI model, instructions, and settings
Roles help maintain consistent style and tone across your content
You can create different roles for different purposes (e.g., creative writing, technical content, marketing copy)
To create a role:
Click the role option in the edge tools (on the right side) of your document
Choose "Create New Role"
Enter a name, choose the model you want to use, enter instructions, and adjust AI settings.
Or, use the Role Composer for assistance creating the role
Document Memory
Document memory lets you provide context to the AI without cluttering your main content:
Open the Memory panel
Create labeled fields for different types of context
Add relevant information the AI should know
This context is automatically available to inline prompts and the write/finish buttons
Quick Start Tips
Start Simple: Begin with the Write button to get a feel for how AI assists your writing
Create a Basic Role: Make a role that matches your writing style
Use Document Memory: Add some context about your topic or brand
Try Inline Prompts: Type '/' and experiment with different prompts
