Adding OpenRouter Models

OpenRouter is an amazing service that gives you the ability to make use of a wide selection of large language models; including big name models like the new Claude 3.5 by Anthropic.

By now you should have already added your OpenRouter API key to your Chibi account. Here's how you can add some of the wonderful AI models available.

🎉 That's it. You've successfully added an OpenRouter model to your Chibi account and can now use it in your roles, actions, etc.

OpenRouter Model Rankings

With so many models available with OpenRouter you might wonder which ones to use. Your best bet is to explore the OpenRouter models page where you can sort by new, top weekly, price, etc.

Or you can check out their model ranking page to see what models are most used, and trending.

Keep Your API Key Secure

Chibi support will never ask for your API key. Keep it secret and never give the key to anyone. In the event you've accidentally given the key out, go to your OpenRouter account and create a new key.

Then update your Chibi account with the new key.

OpenRouter Pricing

This is one of the biggest benefits of OpenRouter. You can choose models that are potentially 10X cheaper than Open AI's GPT-4o, yet capable of performing your tasks.

When looking at models on the OpenRouter page, they show how much the model costs to use. For example:

Charges are by token and vary by the models you choose to use.

Chibi AI does not charge for token/AI usage. This is strictly between you and OpenRouter. We don't track/count tokens in any manner.

Don't Forget to Add Credits to Your OpenRouter Account

OpenRouter has a "charge up" system where you fund your account ahead of time. This gives you full control over how much you spend on tokens.

Go to your account, then settings:

From there you can add credits. We recommend adding a card and turning on "auto top-up" so you never run out of credits while you work.
